FDOT District Four Selects American for PD&E Services for SR-9/I-95 at 10th Avenue North Interchange

American has been selected by FDOT District Four to provide PD&E services for SR-9/I-95 at the 10th Avenue North Interchange in Lake Worth, Florida. The improvements will enhance safety and improve capacity, as well as provide additional emergency evacuation through the corridor. The proposed improvements will be developed based on traffic analyses, review of local government plans, evaluation of several alternatives –including the No-Build Alternative, and input collected data from the various project stakeholders through the Public Involvement Program efforts.

The 0.48-mile project limits extend from Detroit Street to east of North A Street and includes the I-95 interchange.  American will evaluate improvements to the corridor and coordination will be done with FDOT for the I-95 Managed Lanes Master Plan Study in order to accommodate future express lanes.  Coordination is also expected with South Florida Rail Corridor/CSX Railroad, Palm Beach Transportation Planning Agency, Palm Beach County, and the City of Lake Worth.

American is a multidisciplinary firm specializing in planning, design, environmental, and construction services for transportation facilities.
