Position
American is currently seeking a PD&E Project Engineer/Planner.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibility will include performing engineering and planning aspects of FDOT PD&E studies. This position includes management of FDOT PD&E studies, managing budgets and schedules, engaging with clients, managing subconsultants, and ensuring QA/QC of all deliverables. The candidate will also perform tasks such as research, technical documentation, preparation of NEPA documents, design, specification and plan preparation, and support of effective public involvement during the PD&E process.
Business development activities will include the marketing of clients, proposal preparation, and the development of presentations.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, urban planning, economics, geography, or related field
- PE License in the state of Florida and/or AICP certification
- 5 or more years of experience in the planning or engineering field supporting FDOT transportation projects
- Experience with transportation planning and proficient with NEPA and Florida PD&E documentation requirements
