From East of I-4 to East of County Line Road
American served as a subconsultant for the PD&E reevaluation study along SR 600 (US 92) from I-4 County Line Road (approximately 18 miles) in Hillsborough County. The study’s purpose was to provide a corridor analysis evaluating the need to widen SR 600 to six lanes by design year 2040. American explored the feasibility of constructing the improvements while considering capacity needs, costs, and potential effects. The project involved data collection throughout the corridor, including reviewing historical data and making adjustments to reflect 2015 traffic conditions, and providing machine counts for various intersections. American was responsible for providing the design traffic technical memorandum, public involvement, and structural analysis of the bridges along the project limits. This includes running SYNCHRO and HCS and providing alternatives for the Department to evaluate. Structural analysis was performed to evaluate the need for widening the bridges.
