Elliot Road over Walnut Creek Bridge

This project involved replacing the structurally deficient two-lane bridge on CR 131/Elliott Road over Walnut Creek. The roadway approaches on both sides of the bridge were improved to conform to GDOT standards. The existing bridge was constructed in 1960 and consisted of a two-lane structure measuring 120 feet in length and 25 feet 6 inches in width. Due to the downgrade in weight limit, an expedited replacement of the bridge was necessary to meet the needs of the County’s residents. American provided structural design, roadway, and drainage, as well as environmental and permitting services.
