From Detroit Street to east of North A Street
American is evaluating improvements to the corridor and coordination will be done with FDOT for the I-95 Managed Lanes Master Plan Study in order to accommodate future express lanes. The improvements will enhance safety and improve capacity as well as provide additional emergency evacuation through the corridor. The proposed improvements will be developed based on traffic analyses, environmental evaluations, review of local government plans, evaluation of several alternatives including the No-Build Alternative, and input collected from the various project stakeholders through the Public Involvement Program efforts. The 0.48-mile project limits extend from Detroit Street to east of North A Street and includes the I-95 interchange. Coordination is also expected with South Florida Rail Corridor/CSX Railroad, Palm Beach Transportation Planning Agency, Palm Beach County, and the City of Lake Worth.
