Last week, our Pace office had the opportunity to visit nine elementary school classrooms, ranging from 2nd to 5th grade. We explained the different types of engineering careers including our specialty, civil engineering. We also dove a little deeper into the civil engineering discussion and explained bridge design and construction. Finally, our STEM activity included planning and design, team collaboration, and building bridges out of playing cards and tape. After the bridges were built, their load carrying capacity was tested. We were happy to support the development of the world’s future engineers!
